Diversity

QCA is committed to embedding equality into everything we do and demonstrating best practice in all our equalities work. Diversity in the workplace and excellence in education for all are guiding principles. We promote flexible working and welcome applications from all sections of the community.

The equality programme at QCA is led by the Director of Legal and Corporate Affairs. The corporate equality team is responsible for devising and implementing a holistic equality strategy across all six divisions of QCA. Each of the six divisions has a dedicated equalities lead who represents it at monthly equality strategy group meetings, chaired by the Corporate Equality Programme Manager.

The overall equality strategy for QCA is contained in our Single Equality Scheme which sets out how we are working to further equality across the six strand areas of ethnicity, gender, disability, sexual orientation, religion/belief and age in all our work. The scheme contains equality action plans for each division and the overarching equality aims and objectives for the organisation. For more information on the scheme and QCA's equalities work more generally please visit http://www.qca.org.uk/qca_11940.aspx

As part of this commitment to equalities and diversity, QCA will guarantee an interview to all disabled applicants who meet the essential criteria for the job and consider them on their abilities. The essential criteria are shown on the person specification section of the job description/role profile for the job vacancy.
